MEFOMP held a special symposium on Medical physics challenges in the Middle East region during the IUPESM WC 2022. It aimed to highlight the status of medical physics in the Middle East countries, with some focus on challenges related to education, training, equipment and number of medical physicists. It discussed the enormous efforts must be exerted to support the development of the medical physics profession in some of the countries in the region.
The symposium was held on 15 June 10:30 and chaired by Dr Huda AlNaemi included five speakers from the region to cover this specific field as in the table below.
