With collaboration of Qatar Medical Physics Society (QaMPS), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) organized a special celebration for International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) on 7th November 2020, the birth day of Marie Curie who is considered to be the first scientist who link the physics science to medicine by using the new device of X-Ray as a clinical imaging device during the first World War.
The celebration integrated with the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2020 for this occasion. The event was attended by 40 physicists from different departments of HMC, National Center for Cancer Care & Research (NCCCR) and Sidra Medicine Hospital.
The event started with welcome note from Dr. Huda Al Naemi President of Qatar Medical Physics Society (QaMPS) followed by scientific lecture titled “Ethos Solution for Adaptive Radiation Therapy” from Dr. Rabih Hammoud, Chief Oncology Physicist at HMC ending with question and answers on physics and common information about Qatar and HMC.
